Idea
With the surge of online food ordering during the 2020 pandemic there was an increased demand for food ordering apps. Enter Dine by Wix, the restaurants aggregator app powered by Wix Restaurants platform. With no additional setup or fees, Wix Restaurants users could easily expose their restaurant business to new and existing customers via the dedicated app.
Browsing Experience
The first screen the users encounter offers multiple ways to discover restaurants. The users can quickly navigate to their favorite restaurants, browse by category, or discover nearby restaurants by scrolling.

Being powered by Wix Restaurants, it was crucial to maintain feature parity between Dine and the existing offering on the Wix Restaurants websites. Restaurant owners and their customers anticipated that the mobile app would offer the same features they had enjoyed on the restaurant’s Wix website.
Wix Restaurants website experience is packed with full functionality on the small screen.
The header offers a quick overview of the restaurant, including its name, cuisine, multi-location options, and more.
The delivery method section adapts its context based on the chosen method, enabling users to select their preferred time and location.
Highly customizable dish items cater to a wide range of edge cases, including long names and descriptions, discounts, labels, and more.
Figma components carefully crafted to reflect the high degree of Wix Restaurants’ backend customization and configuration.
Table Reservations
Table reservations are an integral component of Wix Restaurants’ offerings, which have been meticulously adapted for integration with the Dine app.
Dish Information
The dish screen is presented in a modally and provides comprehensive information about each dish, including its name, description, price, and various options, etc.
